Both Grants.gov and the Federal Register house
announcements for competitive grants throughout the government.
The former allows the potential applicant to electronically
search and apply for competitive grant opportunities, while
the latter is the official daily publication for rules, proposed
rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations,
as well as executive orders and other presidential documents,
throughout the Federal government. The Federal Register is
an actual daily publication and every Federal agency that
is submitting a request for application (RFA) or a request
for a contract (RFP) must publish it in the Federal Register
(it is accessible via the internet).
